Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the server to receive routine technical information about the visit:
- Your device's assigned IP address
- Browser name and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages opened and approximate time spent
- Any referring website
- Date and time associated with a page view
Cookies and Analytics
Small cookie files and analytics services help aggregate traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. Browser controls can reject cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the website and maintaining performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected search provider
- Measuring which material visitors use
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect inferred interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not host, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Hunt County guidance identifies official custodians such as the Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Division, the District and County Clerks, Texas DPS Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not turned into a third-party dossier or consumer report, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies supply the search-box services. Their own privacy terms govern information submitted to them, including how long it is kept and whether it is shared. Review the provider's policy before running a query because those choices are outside our control.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Hunt County offices, Texas agency systems, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's policy controls. Its terms should be read before personal data is submitted.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across websites and select targeted ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information can be disclosed to:
- A search provider chosen to process a query
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and function
- Advertising networks serving material on a page
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for collected data. No internet system is completely secure, so an absolute guarantee against unauthorized access cannot be made.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone younger than 18. A verified report that a minor supplied data will lead to its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Texas consumer-protection law, including the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 17, may apply to certain data practices. The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act in Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541 also provides qualifying consumers with rights subject to its scope and exceptions. A visitor may ask to:
- Confirm and access eligible personal information
- Correct inaccurate eligible data
- Request deletion where the law provides it
- Opt out of covered processing activities
Updates to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted here and identified by a new effective date. Visitors should review the current version when they want to understand present practices.
